Program Overview

Our 9-day Innovation and Education Trek is designed to bring together up to 15 students for an immersive exploration of China’s vibrant tech ecosystem and its rich cultural heritage. This exclusive program offers unparalleled opportunities to engage with China’s leading educational institutions and innovation hubs. Participants will visit top-tier Chinese universities and K-12 schools, interact with renowned experts, and explore potential research and collaboration opportunities with cutting-edge ed-tech companies and startups.

Beyond the technological landscape, the trek will also feature visits to UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage sites in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong. These cultural excursions will provide a deeper understanding of China’s storied history and traditions, enriching the overall experience.

Dates: Dec 14 – 22, 2024

• Include all in-country class fees, cultural activities, group meals, accommodation and transportation that are arranged by the program.
• NOT include international airfare between U.S. and China, international insurance fee, visa application fee, and additional excursions or activities not mentioned in the itinerary.

Beijing

In Beijing, we had the privilege of connecting with some of the most innovative institutions and organizations. Our visits included the prestigious Tsinghua University’s Institute of Education, X-Lab, Academy of Arts and Design, and the Affiliated High School. We also had the opportunity to engage with Moonshot Academy, TAL Headquarters, ClassIn, and the Beijing International Bilingual Academy.

Guangzhou Arrival Day

As we first set foot in Guangzhou, we were greeted with open arms by enthusiastic students and faculty from South China University of Technology (SCUT). Their warm welcome instantly made us feel at home and excited for the incredible journey ahead. We can’t wait to dive into the rich culture, cutting-edge innovations, and unforgettable experiences that await us. This is just the beginning, and we’re so looking forward to sharing every moment with you!

South China University of Technology

On our first day, we kicked off with an inspiring opening ceremony featuring welcome speeches from SCUT Vice President Dr. Li Weiqing and CIE President Anny Chan. We then explored SCUT’s cutting-edge facilities, including the Innovation Factory, Intelligent Connected Vehicle Laboratory, and 3D Printing Room. The day also included a fun and energetic ping pong match with SCUT students, showcasing the spirit of collaboration and friendship.

Guangdong and Shenzhen

This video takes you on an exciting journey through Guangzhou and Shenzhen, exploring the dynamic tech hubs and rich culture of Southern China. Partnering with South China University of Technology (SCUT), we visited leading companies like Guangzhou Shiyuan (CVTE), EHang Intelligent Technology, XBOT Park, uncovering cutting-edge innovations in tech and education. We also connected with students and educators at top schools, including SCUT-affiliated primary schools, Shenzhen OCT Primary School and X-Institute, to gain insights into China’s innovative educational practices.
