HongKong

As a complementary highlight to the 2025 trek, our participants were invited to take part in the inaugural “Emerging Technologies and Future Talents” Joint Symposium, co-organized by Harvard University, Stanford University (representatives), and The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). At this international academic convening, our trekkers served as guest panelists for Workshop I: Innovation Education, engaging directly with K–12 teachers and students. Drawing on their cross-cultural learning and first-hand experiences from the trek, they shared perspectives on how emerging technologies, interdisciplinary thinking, and global collaboration can shape future-ready education. The Hong Kong event provided a high-level platform for dialogue between leading global institutions and frontline educators, and was widely regarded by participants as a meaningful opportunity to translate experiential learning into educational impact.

Beijing, Shanxi

In May 2025, participants completed an immersive education and culture trek across Beijing and Shanxi, describing the experience as deeply inspiring and transformative. Through visits to leading institutions—including Peking University, Beijing Opera and Arts College, Beijing No. 101 Middle School, and technology leaders JD.com and Xiaomi—participants gained rare, first-hand perspectives on China’s education system, arts training, and innovation ecosystem. Cultural highlights such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and hands-on engagement with intangible cultural heritage brought history to life, while the Shanxi segment—featuring the Yungang Grottoes Art Research Institute, Huayan Temple, and the Datong District—offered a profound encounter with art preservation, spirituality, and regional culture. The trek concluded in Beijing with a closing ceremony, leaving participants with lasting cross-cultural understanding, meaningful institutional connections, and an overwhelmingly positive sense of personal and professional growth.
