On January 31, 2026, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Washington, D.C. became a vibrant crossroads of culture, diplomacy, and youthful energy. IIEI was honored to be a part of this historic gathering, joining 500 students and educators from across 20 states to celebrate the 2026 China-U.S. Youth Spring Festival Gala.
IIEI was invited as guest speakers to share our journey and mission on one of the most prestigious stages for international exchange.

Our presence at the Gala was made possible by the gracious recommendation of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in New York. We are deeply grateful for their trust in our vision and for the opportunity to represent the spirit of New York’s educational community. Being invited to share our story at the Embassy is a milestone that reaffirms the importance of our work in fostering global understanding.

Sharing the Vision: The China-U.S. Trek
Taking the stage as guest speakers, our team shared the transformative stories from the 2024 and 2025 IIEI China-U.S. Treks. We discussed how these journeys are more than just travel—they are deep immersions that allow students to move past headlines and build genuine human connections.
We were equally moved to hear the stories of other student groups. Listening to their unique perspectives on friendship and cooperation reminded us that we are part of a powerful, growing movement of “friendship ambassadors” dedicated to keeping the channels of dialogue open and vibrant.

Our Commitment to the Future
As we look ahead to 2026 and beyond, IIEI is more committed than ever to promoting resilient U.S.-China student relationships. We are eager to continue our work in cultural and educational exchanges, ensuring that the next generation of leaders is equipped with the empathy, curiosity, and courage to build a harmonious global community.
To a year of health, prosperity, and enduring friendship—Happy New Year!
