IIEI Invited as Cultural Partner for 2026 Lunar New Year Gala at Boston City Hall
On February 15th, 2026, IIEI was honored to be invited as a cultural partner for the 2026 Lunar New Year Festival Gala, held at the iconic Boston City Hall. In the heart of the city, we joined thousands of residents to celebrate the Year of the Horse through immersive traditional arts.
Bringing Tradition to Life
Our cultural booth was a hub of activity, inviting people of all backgrounds to experience Intangible Cultural Heritage firsthand:
- Handmade Lanterns: Families gathered to craft and decorate traditional red lanterns. Seeing these lanterns light up the grand hall of City Hall symbolized the warmth and unity of the Boston community.
- Calligraphy Experience: Many visitors picked up a brush for the first time, learning the balance and beauty of Chinese characters. This cross-cultural exchange through ink and paper created meaningful connections beyond language.
At IIEI, we are driven by the belief that traditional culture truly “lives” when it is shared within the community. We are deeply grateful to the organizers for inviting us to collaborate on this landmark event. By moving beyond classrooms and into public spaces like Boston City Hall, we aim to spark curiosity and foster genuine global friendships.
