Program Overview
Join the 2026 China–U.S. Youth Tour for a Shared Asia-Pacific, a seven-day immersive exchange bringing American students to Jinan and Beijing from September 1–7, 2026.
Designed for students interested in international affairs, public policy, culture, technology, and global leadership, the program offers direct engagement with peers, exposure to China’s history and contemporary innovation, and thoughtful dialogue on issues shaping the Asia-Pacific region. More than a study tour, it is an opportunity to build meaningful cross-cultural connections, broaden global perspectives, and contribute to a new generation of cooperation.
Hosted by the Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges in partnership with the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation, the program invites students to experience China through conversation, collaboration, and firsthand discovery.

Who Should Apply?
This tour welcomes current students and recent graduates of U.S. colleges and universities who are interested in gaining a deeper understanding of China and the Asia-Pacific region.
We encourage applications from students who are interested in:
- International relations, diplomacy, public policy, or Asian studies
- Chinese history, culture, and contemporary society
- Technology, sustainability, and innovation
- Cross-cultural communication and global leadership
Students from all academic disciplines are welcome. Ideal participants are curious, open-minded, respectful of different perspectives, and prepared to participate actively in cultural visits, academic exchanges, group discussions, and collaborative activities.
Applicant Profile
- Be currently enrolled at a U.S. college or university (or recent graduates)
- Hold a valid passport and meet visa requirements
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in cross-cultural exchange
- Be willing to engage thoughtfully with fellow participants throughout the program
No prior experience in China or Chinese-language proficiency is required.
